As an attorney and consultant, Iām used to primarily billing by the hour. Although hourly rates in Iceland are not what youād expect for a fancy London lawyer, itās still enough to make a decent living. However, Iām becoming less satisfied with selling my time with changing perspectives and priorities over the past few years. Itās a limited resource for all of us and doesnāt scale. The fact is, time working for a client is time not spent with my family or friends.
Iāve done some reading throughout the years, and I know it sounds cliche, but a book has stuck with me called The Millionaire Fastlane by M. J. DeMarco. I guess you could say the book itself has an āAmerican-dreamā vibe, but thereās some great writing about the importance of being able to scale your work.
So, late one night at home during my paternity leave last December, I got a notification on my phone telling me that Iād received this very newsletter. Iāve been subscribed for a while, but it had gotten lost in the avalanche of e-mails one gets every day. However, I opened it up this time and saw a listing that caught my eye - Relica.
Information and data security has been a vast and growing topic for several years now. After researching Relica, I could see that the product had unique features that made it different from other services in the same market. Donāt get me wrong, itās a tough market, but thereās good potential for growth.
