This is our first event
After unsuccessful attempts to sell Micro Startups I decided to create online event. Our first tickets event.

Now let’s crack on with the newsletter ☕️
🧵 Weekly update
After some research I added Crisp live chat for our premium members and startup founders. And the next day, received a bug report from one of our premium members. Tested and fixed it. The response cycle is shorter and the customer support is better.
Microns reached $2,450 in MRR after two years. For me dedication and consistency played crucial role. Also, marketplace business takes time, so never give up.
The last but not least I already started working with designer on sketch for Microns v2. Here’s a small part :)
🎪 Event
When I wanted to sell one of my startups, I talked to many people but realized they couldn't help me accomplish my goal.
As you may already know, I need $3k to redesign the Microns website (I don't want to raise outside investment. I build a bootstrapped marketplace for bootstrapped founders). None of the people wanted to pay such an amount for MicroStartups.
Buyers are buying revenue. They need at least a proven record of transactions in the past so they have more confidence to grow the project and get ROI.
That's why I figured out a brilliant idea from my childhood, where we traded different rare items with each other, like stickers and posters.
So many buyers had at least $1k in their budget. What if I improve the model and add some random parts for fun?
This is how our first event was born.
I figured out that there is an existing service for selling tickets. I slightly modified it and created MicroStartups.co project sale event.
Rules are simple:
The event will last four days;
The person with more tickets will have a higher chance of winning the startup.
For example: If we sell 100 tickets and you buy 10, you'll have 10/100 = 0.1 = 10% chance to win the project.
This way, I need to sell 150 tickets to reach my goal. Sounds achievable.
But it's not the end.
For those who buy 5+ tickets, there will be a prize too.
You'll be interviewed for the MicroStartups newsletter and can share your journey and project with other 600+ founders and entrepreneurs.
Here's a sneak peek of the benefits:
For me, it's achieving the goal without raising an investment;
For a winner, getting a project worth $1k+ for as low as $20;
For participants, the ability to promote yourself and your project for as low as $100.
Plus, the new owner will have a lot of content for months ahead.
On Monday, I'll randomly choose a winner based on %. It should be a lot of fun 😄
